Buongiorno Carolyn, We want to thank you for your fantastic guide to sailing in the Aeolian Islands.  We are back in Canada after travelling for a month in Italy.  We had the opportunity to sail a boat we had chartered around the Aeolian Islands for a week in the middle of May and had a great time.  We particularly liked spending some time on Salinas (including taking scooters to lunch in Pollara at La Locauda del Postino) and we’re amazed by Stromboli - and the fact that people live so close by to the volcano.  We moored overnight off the town of Stromboli as the sea was calm.  We hadn’t expected to see steam emerging from different parts of the town. The sailing was fantastic between the islands.  There was a lot of wind shifting between NW and S so we had to be aware when the change came.  We wanted to thank you very much for your book.  We used it as our guide throughout the Aeolians.  We particularly appreciated the docking and anchoring locations (including maps) as these were very useful in helping us both plan our trip as well as adjusting where we stayed overnight depending on the conditions.  We also appreciated learning a lot about the Islands as your guide was full of interesting and useful details.  We think your guide is excellent.  Thank you so much for having written it.  Grazie Mille!
